It is our belief that disease can be prevented. Our aim is to provide your child with the best dental care available to secure their dental health We ask patients to bring their children with them from birth so that we can see them regularly to help them grow up free from dental disease.

For more information on the best option for your child's dental care, please ask a member of our team.

Children 0 - 5years who  are children of regular attending patients will receive free check ups when they attend with their parents.

Children 6 -17 are eligible  to join our child's dental care plan for £4.95 per month (current July 2019) Each child will be eligible for an inclusive check up every six months and will receive 25% discount off treatment prices.

Invisalign

A smile can change everything

Your confidence. Your outlook. Your life. And with Invisalign, achieving the smile you always dreamed of doesn’t have to be a big deal. In fact, it barely has to impact your day-to-day life at all.

Invisalign profile vs traditional braces profile

Invisalign straightens teeth using a series of nearly invisible, removable aligners that are custom-made specifically for your teeth. As you replace each aligner every two weeks, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week, gradually moving towards the projected final position.

Comfortable, clear and removable – Invisalign transforms your smile without disrupting your life. Something that over 2.5 million people worldwide have already discovered.

Dental Implants

implant model

Dental implants have many advantages compared to traditional crown and bridge solutions.

  • They look, feel and function like your natural teeth
  • Healthy teeth do not need to be ground down to support the dental implants
  • Anchoring dental implants in the jawbone stimulates bone tissue and gums, ensuring an attractive, aesthetic result while helping to maintain facial structures
  • Dental implants do not require any adhesives to hold the new teeth in place
  • They eliminate the discomfort and insecurity of loose, ill-fitting dentures
  • You have a secure, permanent tooth replacement

Mark is competent at restoring existing implants and also has experience of placing new implants where teeth have been recently extracted.

Tooth Whitening

Smile White Teeth

At Abbey Dental we offer 2 types of tooth whitening procedures which can be used alone or in conjunction with each other.

In surgery whitening - after about 90 mins of treatment at Abbey Dental you will leave with noticeably whiter teeth.

At home whitening - impressions are taken of your teeth and transparent whitening trays are made to perfectly fit over your teeth. A small amount of whitening gel can then be applied into the trays which are worn overnight. The process can be repeated each night until your teeth reach the desired shade, (typically 2 weeks). This has the advantage that you can 'top up' your tooth whitening at a later date.

Worldwide Dental Trauma and Emergency Callout Insurance

Emergency Callout - cover can be provided by any dentist worldwide who agrees to treat you, subject to the terms and conditions of the policy. You simply pay the emergency callout charge to the dentist concerned and collect a receipted invoice. This will then be processed through the practice for reimbursement from the insurers and you will be refunded the callout fee, minus the excess, up to the policy limits. This coevr is to provide immediate pain relief only; no additional treatment fees can be claimed. You should return to the practice in normal hours for any further treatment required.

Dental Trauma - cover is provided should you be unfortunate enough to suffer a dental trauma, for example, as a result of a road traffic accident or an accident at home or at work. The insurers will settle the claim up to the policy limits and you will need to pay any relevant excess and shortfalls.

Hospitalisation - benefit is provided should you have to stay in hospital as a result of dental trauma.

Permanent Facial Disfigurement - benefit is provided should you be scarred on the neck or face as a result of the accident that also caused the dental trauma, where scarring is still visible 12 months after the occurence.

Oral Cancer - a payment will be paid upon diagnosis of oral cancer.

Redundancy Protection - premiums paid for up to one year.
